To Grandmother’s House We Go!
So last LAST week my parents got themselves moved into the wild wild west, or about 20 miles south of Asheville, North Carolina. They’re just under two hours away, so I packed myself, Norah, and aaalll of her things into the Element and headed into the mountains. It’s the perfect drive – Norah slept through the whole thing – all 95.7 miles of it.
Upon arrival we then proceeded to unpack boxes, hang out, unpack boxes, makes sandwiches, romp through the woods, unpack boxes, drink a beer or two, unpack boxes. You get the gist.

Some fending for herself while we attempted to tackle the piles of boxes.

The next day Jack came down, and wasn’t quite sure what to make of Norah.

But mostly he just replied to her screeching with his own Siamese-cat wailing.

The house in all its glory. Because *everyone* needs four porch fans.

And last but not least… the Element. In its element.

We're just two fun-loving frugal kids working on making our first house a home for us and our four-legged friends.

Their house is gorgeous! & great pictures. Especially love that first one. So much color.
Thank you! I feel like they just bought me a second home – such a retreat!
Looks like a gorgeous place! You took some amazing photos and that girl of yours is too cute!!
Do you think you parents would adopt me…?
Sure, they’re pretty nice, hah!
